UPZ North America is the first dealer in North America to have the newest Powerlock IV bindings!  The VIRUS Powerlock IV hardboot snowboard  binding is one of the most advanced  bindings on the market. It’s made from extremely durable aircraft grade aluminum, CNC milled from a block. It´s a free flex system, which means the extremely rigid plate transfers power over a 130 mm diameter circle to the board. The short contact length of the binding allows the board to bend into a smoother radius, which gives higher performance. Another positive side effect is that the board is not stressed into a compression break failure, which is one of the most common binding-induced situations that can destroy your snowboard.  Care has been taken to bevel the edges of the plate to further decrease concentrated pressure.

With the Powerlock binding comes the VIRUS Absorption Plate. This special carbon material plate is mounted between the board and the bindings and extracts the micro vibrations common to icy, hard packed slopes. Micro vibrations cause the muscles to tire rapidly.  You’ll have a more relaxed ride and waste less power using the Powerlock binding.

The binding is available in standard bails and step-in configuration. For the step-in binding, VIRUS SNOWSPORTS uses original INTEC parts. VIRUS uses common, easily sourced M6 screws (20mm, 25 mm and 30 mm)
