Description
ALC CH7 AGS Isolation Plate with Tunable Carbon Rod System
These are for the 2027 models. We are taking pre-orders now through the end of March 2026!
Plate Features:
- Carbon shafts connect the two main plates. Torsional flex is significantly reduced by metal side arms.
- Use of carbon shafts and sliding tip blocks significantly enhance vibration absorption.
- Tip blocks are thicker, which helps the rider take advantage of board camber, improving grip on ice and hardpack.
- This design allows for stable riding on steep, demanding courses.
- Ride quality is closer to a solid isolation plate but feels more natural and intuitive.
- The CH7 AGS model fits the ALLFLEX® AGS hole pattern of a typical men’s snowboard.
- Your choice of silver or black color.
- Beautifully machined construction. 100% made in Japan. Total weight of the CH7 is 2640g or 5.8 lbs (with 5 shafts attached).
Adjustability:
- The rider can adjust both the flex of the plate and the torsional stiffness by changing the number and location of shafts.
- (3~4 is considered to be the appropriate number for a standard weight person of average ability).
- To increase torsional stiffness, the shafts are relocated towards the edges of the plate.
- The isolation plate ships with 5, 12 mm × 390 mm carbon shafts. Additional shafts can be purchased to further increase stiffness.
- These are considered consumable parts and should be replaced every year with heavy use.
Target Use of the CH7 Plate:
- This is a racing-oriented isolation plate for slalom and giant slalom.
- Designed for and complements relatively stiff boards.
- When combined with the ALC SNOWBOARD “M Series” and “MII Series”, you can feel a sense of unity with the plate.
