RECOMMENDATIONS:

• All side cut radii listed below are a calculated average of three different, progressive radii.
• Always follow your coach’s recommendations!  They know you and your riding ability best.
• For young ladies’ slalom, the 157 cm long, 19 cm wide board with side cut radius of 10 meters is recommended.  SG’s recommendation for ladies’ giant slalom is 180 cm long, 19 cm wide with 19.2 meter side cut radius.
• For young mens’ slalom, the 163 cm long, 20 cm wide board with 11.8 meter side cut radius is recommended.  Significantly smaller heights and weights may be best suited to the 157 cm long board.  Giant slalom recommendations for young men depends on their riding level and weight.  Smaller heights would benefit from the 180 cm board with 19 cm width and 19.2 meter side cut radius, average height/weight and riding for 185 cm and 19.2 cm wide with a 20.3 meter side cut radius, with the most aggressive, board-bending riders of mid to higher than average weights being best suited for the 185 cm long and 20.2 cm wide board with 20.3 meter side cut radius.
