Welcome to UPZ Boots North America
UPZ Boots is an Austrian snowboard boot and ski boot manufacturer. They are a small family run operation with a reputation for putting dedicated racing technology into their snowboard gear! They don’t throw lots of money at big marketing campaigns. They spend it on tons of R&D so you end up with the world’s best snowboarding hardboots and they do have professional and amateur snowboard racers and champions that win the World Cup, NASTAR, etc. on UPZ boots.
Whether you call them hard boots, hardboots, hard shell boots or hardshell boots, it’s all part of the same alpine snowboarding discipline. High performance alpine snowboards efficiently carve turns with hard shell boots and forward-angled stances, channeling incredible amounts of pressure and control to the edges. You will see, hear and feel the edges cutting trenches in the snow. Skiers, you are already accustomed to hard shell boots and facing down the fall line. Alpine snowboarding is your most efficient way to learn snowboarding. Past or current snowboarder? UPZ snowboard boots with plate bindings and a nice alpine snowboard will shock you with how easy they are to turn, while you hear your edges absolutely rip trenches in the snow. This is your place to learn about the sport and test fit boots. Want to demo these boots on the slopes, along with specialty bindings and high performance snowboards? North America’s only full season alpine snowboarding demo program is headquartered near Park City, Utah. Check out our partners at http://www.carvingcrewrentals.com

HOW DO I GET THE RIGHT BOOT SIZE?
All UPZ Boots are sold in mondopoint (mp) sizing. Mondopoint is based on centimeter (cm) foot length.
We do not use normal shoe sizes (size 7 or 8) as that seems to change with almost every brand of shoe.
If your foot length is 26cm, chances are your boot size is 26-26.5mp.
See this size chart below or on any boot product page to line up your size.
**This chart is the North American size guideline. It may differ from the chart you know. Please confirm the size and shell mm before ordering.**
This is what is needed to ensure proper fit:
– The exact length of your foot – Trace the outline of your bare foot and measure from toe to heel in centimeters. As previously stated, the length of each foot in centimeters is known as mondopoint. Example: Your left foot is 25.6 cm long. Your right foot is 25.4 cm long. Always size to the smaller foot. Your mondopoint size is 25 mp to 25.5 mp so you would order the size 25-25.5 mp boot.
Order according to your mondopoint to insure best fit.
Once you receive your boots, remove the liners, put on very thin socks, and while standing on carpet to protect the shells, place each foot into the empty shell. Push each foot forward until the big toe just touches the front of the toe box. Slide a hand inside the shell, behind one heel and see how many fingers you can fit between the heel and the shell.
- Racer/Performance Fit = 1 finger width space
Comfort Fit = 1.5 finger width space
Anything larger means that the shell is too large and you end up with heel movement.

HOW DO I FIT UPZ FLO LINERS?
UPZ Flo Liners can be molded using 2 methods:
- Self-Mold – this means that the flo in the liner will mold to your foot just by riding in the boots. After a day on the slope the flo will mold to your foot shape.
- Custom Heat Mold – this means that the inside portion of the flo liner can be heated using a system like Salomon Heat Sticks.
ATTENTION: UPZ Flo Liners must not be placed in an oven at anytime. The outside material of the liner is not made for direct heat from any type of oven. A heat stick system is the only correct type of heating.
WHAT IS A SHELL FIT?
What’s a Shell Fit? It’s the best way to know if any hardboot fits properly.
- Remove the liner from the shell.
- Put on a very thin sock and place your foot in the shell.
- When your toes touch the front of the shell, check to see how much space exists between your heel and the back of the shell.
- Results:
Racer/Performance Fit = 1 finger width space
Comfort Fit = 1.5 finger width space
Anything larger means that the shell is too large and you end up with heel movement.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?
Full price items purchased from UPZ Boots come with a two (2) year manufacturer’s warranty from date of purchase.
